IB Times, last week's news today!**

That's why I never buy a phone on first day. My son and his wife do it for every iPhone that came out. I think they are nuts and told them--;)

Plus, I never order and I play with ones in store for a few days and check out the one I am buying before leaving store. Less stress--:)

Take that back I did order and root the Nexus One when it came out from Google. Got lucky on that buy--

i wonder if naysayers will finally admit that there was actually a problem in the first place.

not saying I buy this story, if anything, us early adaptors just got screwed again.

The story was actually debunked. I remember reading that (I believe on MR, though not their news page).

Pretty much this.

The reddit thread referenced had someone from ifixit try to verify the claim of weight and the difference was very small. Not like the 21g difference reported.

No silent fix yet. Not for a while, if ever.

I'm curious. When did early adopters NOT get screwed?

21g was the weight comparison vs. iPhone 6, not another 6 Plus. "The doctor found that his new 6 Plus weighed more than his wife's 6." Well, yeah … It's meant to.

Read it again..... Further down it then says:-
"Since he is a doctor by profession, he used a stethoscope to listen to both the iPhone 6 Plus handsets".

Well, there we go. An imaginary fix for an imaginary problem. :p

Given the millions of phones out there at this point, I really doubt there is any kind of substantial issue. Anyway, no problems for me. I've had my 6+ for four weeks and carry it in my pocket (front, of course) with no case.

I read on the internet that the guy on the grassy knoll came up with the fix.

The metal casing is an alloy, they can lessen the amount of steel content and increase the titanium content to strengthen the frame without adding any additional weight to it. A silent fix is possible.

I just received my iphone 6 + yesterday, it is the second run of iphone 6 plus.

Model iphone 6 + 64gb space grey via AT&T mail order.

I immediately put it on a very sensitive scale, its exact weight was 171.62g
