Is it just me, or does the Zoo's Deputy Director come across as being a right doughnut... this is after all the same place a Gorilla went walkies in June.

So let me get this straight - the only thing that will prevent it from escaping is not putting logs in the enclosure? It can't swim?!? Seems to me to be a wee bit of a design issue when a bear can float across the moat and then just climb out!

Hmm methinks I smell a JFK reference to "Ich bin ein Berliner" which can translate into "I'm a jelly doughnut" ... ... iGAV??

Now from the picture it look like it's a black bear, which granted aren't the meanest in the bear world, but they are still frickin' dangerous! I think it was couple of years ago when one hungry black bear attacked and killed an olympic biathlete as she was running in the woods of northern Quebec.

The zoo director should at least come up with ways to prevent these animals from getting loose... or start advertizing as a 'petting zoo'.
