Very sad but... he leaped to his death from the second floor?! that takes talent, I know people who can jump from the second floor without even a bruise...
FoxNews.com said:The official Xinhua News Agency identified the attacker as Tang Yongming, 47, from the eastern city of Hangzhou. It said Tang attacked the two Americans and their Chinese tour guide, who was also injured, at 12:20 p.m. on the second level of the ancient tower, then leapt to his death immediately afterward. The second level of the tower is about 130 feet high.
Makes much more sense.According to the story I read, the second level is quite high up.
Yes, a jump from 130 feet definitely makes more sense.Makes much more sense.
Dear China,
What happened to this whole idea of the 2008 Olympics being safe?
Sincerely,
The other 80% of Earth.
I'm aware of that. But after that terrorist attack, the Chinese government came out and make a huge deal about how the olympics would be completely safe and how nothing like this could possibly happen. I'm not at all surprised by this.Speak for yourself, not 80% of Earth. No matter what you do you can NOT secure everything. Something is bound to happen. Deal with it. I guess you are one of those people that happily accept being detained for a couple of hours for the "illusion" of feeling secure. It is 100x times more probable that you get stabbed walking at night in some state in the US than in the olympics.

Just saw on the news the American stabbed was a parent for one of the coaches of the American swimming team.
But it doesn't really have anything to do with China, does it? A lone nutter could lose his marbles anywhere. It seems rather a cheap shot to try to make a political issue of it.I'm not at all surprised by this.
Bernie Mac was one of my favorite comedians. R.I.P.
I had a feeling something like this (Olympic Stabbing) was going to happen. I hate being right sometimes.![]()
