For a short video: say under 10 minutes, what is the best way to convert FCP file for use in DVD Studio Pro?
 
You could export a self-contained movie from FCP (File->Export->QuickTime Movie) and then let DVD Studio Pro handle the encoding. Or you can use an application like Bit Vice or Sorenson Squeeze to do the encoding. But Compressor usually does a great job. Is there any reason you don't want to use it?

Compressor has worked best for me. The above option of a self contained QT will work fine, but quality wise Compressor does a better job that DVD Studio Pro
