Of course I'm talking about a normally priced product, not a price reduction sale like Black Friday.

Any normal price products you can think of that generate the amount of craziness the iPhone does?

i camped out for the wii, xbox360, and ps3 when they all came out. Don't think I'm camping for the xbox one or ps4 though.

Technically all new and rather desirable products have people who camp out. The Galaxy S series is one example, though not as crazy as iPhones.

I have had some people camping at the local store for the Surface when its initially launched.

There were queues everywhere for the launch of GTA V.

Yea it wasn't really camping out for me I showed up 2mins to 12 and was out of the store by 12:20. The greatest part of playing GTA V is all the Ifruit vs Drone throughout the game. The radio commercials are really funny. It will give iphone and droid users a good laugh at how silly the whole smartphone war can be.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Didn't really camp out so to speak...just got there about an hour early (11pm) for the midnight release. I'm too impatient to spend any more time waiting in line than that for anything.

We didn't have a midnight release for this near me but they did open at 7am so I just went before college with a few friends to buy it. That's the only time I have ever gotten something that wasn't just walking into the shop and coming out with it.

I camped out 26 hours at Toys R US for a PS3. Ended up being the same day for the Wii pre orders and when Tickle me Elmo went on sale.

I bought 8 Elmos for ~$40, sold for an average of $96. I bought (5) Wii pre orders off people in line for the PS3.

I was shafted on launch day with the cheaper model PS3. Didn't matter I was second in line during the pre order camp. Told us they would get 10 of the $$$$ models and 2 cheap but they received 2 and 10.

I think I netted ~$600 after eBay, Paypal, shipping etc.

I'm 56 years old and never waited in line for anything than more than a hour. iPhone every launch I'm there at 3 am either for myself or my kids to get a iPhone. This year one for my 16 year old and one for me. This time he is getting in line with me at 3 am the little ****. LOL

Truth be told it is actually kind of fun as you meet some nice people in line which is pleasant. To shoot the crap with folks. My way of social media, leave the Facebook crap to the kids. ROTFLMAO

The craziest one I did was for the PS3 at Best Buy. 3 nights! I waited with 3 friends and we bought 4 total. They only had 14 for the whole store. Sold it the same day and we each made about $1500. If I would've known more about eBay at the time, it would've been about $5,000 each :(
