HI

I wan' t to replace my 160 GB MacBook Pro drive with a 1 TB drive for storage and better performance (7200 rpm disk) can anyone suggest me a model with good performance and also a low noise level? thanks!

There is no 7200rpm 1TB drive for laptops. The biggest 7200rpm drive is 750GB and that is Seagate Momentus 7200.5 IIRC. As for 1TB drive, Western Digital Scorpio Blue is a good one

I am also interested for a 1TB hard disc. The Wester Digital seems good but it is only 5200rpm. That means lower performances...
There are also some users that have vibration and sound issues with this drive.

Have you got any feedback for the Toshiba or the Samsung 1TB drives? Both of those are 5400rpm and much cheaper, but not so popular like the Wester Digital ones. I don't have any idea about the reliability...

Toshiba 1TB 2.5inch:
