What's your budget? What are your uses? If they're basic, and LED backlit monitor will suffice as they are largely the same between manufacturers. If you stick with a well-reviewed model, you'll be set. If you're interested in going a little higher up, check out the Dell U2211h or HP ZR22w. Both have IPS panels that will provide superior viewing angles and color accuracy. But, if you're only using it for internet browsing, movies, photos, etc. you'll be better served with a LED option.

Agreed. if your budget is low, say 200-300$ go with an LED backlit display.
