I am looking to buy a 19"LCD for my new 1.6 G5 Mac. I want to think cheap and buy a non Apple LCD, does anyone have any suggestions/recomendations
Thanks in advance

most 19" panals have the same number of pixels as the 17" ones (1280 by 1024) so unless you want larger pixels, go for the 17"
check out the dell flat panals they're pretty nice and also the samsung panals

I haven't kept current with new models for several months, but the last 19" flat panel I bought was a Dell 1901FP. For the price I paid, it's great, but the price has gone up a lot since then (although in the last month it's starting to subside again). The picture quality looks good to me, it has a nice thin bezel, it has analog and digital inputs, and a built-in 4-port USB hub (only USB 1.1, I think). The stand is flexible: the monitor can be raised and lowered, tilted forward and back, and swiveled. It has VGA and DVI inputs; you can switch between the two. The only feature I like that it lacked was inputs for S-video and composite video for use with TV signals.

I personally like the look of a 19" screen better than that of a 17", even though they have the same number of pixels. And I don't even wear glasses.

Good luck in your search.

Thanks a lot for the helpful info. With the money I save on a Dell monitor I can buy more Apple Software, like Motion
