To start, the 24" LED by Apple is out of my price range enormously. Do not recommend it.

Now, I need a 24" monitor to compliment my MacBook Alu. It can be TN, I don't particularly care. I will go as high as $400. Looking for 1920 resolution too.

But above all, it needs to look Apple-esque (akin to what Apple looks like). I don't need the fancy little metal tray on the iMac and 24" ACD, but it just needs to look ... well ... good!

There's some nice monitors out there, but they all have horribly ugly stands.

Can anyone recommend a 24" (give or take a couple inches), 1920 res, under $400 nice looking monitor?

Cheers.

Something that looks good is entirely subjective.

I think in general, only a Dell would be satisfactory, or perhaps find yourself a refurbed ACD instead?

Check out the BenQ V2400W. One of the best TN panels around, and one of the best looking (subjective). If you can find a refurb ACD or even a deal on a Dell 2408WFP, those are some other options too.
