Best 30" monitor

Dell makes a good one. It has many more inputs than the Apple and it's cheaper too... but it's not nearly as good looking. If I'm going to put something as large as a 30" monitor on my desk, and I'm going to spend a lot of money anyway, I'd pick the Apple.

That said, I bought the Dell 24" because I needed the extra ports. The decision is yours.
