Best 4k screen for Macbook 12 at BHPhoto?

Hi,

I was stunned by the clarity of some of the 4k monitors including one that was $500 at BHPhoto. I currently have a NEC PA271W and would like to upgrade to 4k with similar Adobe RGB 98% display capability.

Can anyone recommend one that I can plug the Macbook 12 into using usb-c digital av multiport adaptor?

Would I need to get a UHD monitor since the usb-c digital av multiport adapter maxes out at 3840x2160?
Do I have to wait for a Displayport adapter?

Is the framerate too slow on macbook 12 for watching movies at 30hz?

Any other tips would be much appreciated.
