Best 500GB internal HD?

I've searched the web for a couple of hours and found pretty conflicting answers. In short: I have a 2.53 GHz 15" Unibody late-2009 MBP and I need to upgrade my internal HD. What's the best one? It looks like the main choices are Seagate and Western Digital, but even within those, there are different model names (Momentus, Barracuda, etc...). Is one quieter than the others?

Also, what's the practical difference between 5400 and 7200 RPM? Does it depend on how heavy your usage is? I do run Parallels pretty frequently, so my computer does tend to get close to maximum CPU use.

I have the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB 7200rpm drive in my 2.53 mid 2009 15". It is pretty quick, quiet, no vibration, and I have had no issues with it.

The Momentus XT has been getting good reviews, it is also 7200rpm but has the SSD read cache that speeds things up, either would be good choice.

+1 on the momentus 7200.4

good drive, fast and reliable.
 
As others have mentioned, the hybrid momentus xt is probably the best for most uses. Among traditional hdds, the new WD Scorpio Black 500gb WD5000BEKT is probably the best. But for most uses, any of the traditional 7200rpm hdds will probably be similar (7200.4, 7k500, scorpio black). Oh, and a 750gb 7200.5 is coming out soon.
