Well I've been doing a little research on camcorders and I'm pretty set on a hard drive camcorder... Mainly for its ease of use. I want to be able to just copy MPEG-2 files directly over to my Mac for use in iMovie. I've heard that JVC's .MOD/.TOD files won't work and need to be converted. I don't want to have to convert anything. I guess I need a camcorder that records video to .MPG or .MOV files??? So which hard drive camcorder, not HD, would you guys recommend for me that is around $400? Panasonic? Sony? Canon? JVC?
