Best alarm clock (not App)

So I tried a Sony and an iHome alarm clock, the kind you dock your iPhone into and can play music from the iPhone and work as an alarm. Both were pieces of junk. Looking for the "third time's a charm" solution.

What clock would folks here recommend?

I don't have one and really haven't seen any decent reviews to pass along. iHome (aka Soundesign) you will get the low end..cheapo.



Just get a dock and connect it to a speaker. Create your own. Connect the dock to a speaker, download a radio app. whoolah Clock dock.

You can get a portable speaker, like the JBL Flip or Jambox.
