Best app copy dvd full format

I was wonderkng what is the best app to copy a dvd to the mac in full format and maybe burn a copy later. I recently found out my friend had a copy of the graduation video of my school and i wasent able to purchase and i would likebto put it on my comp full format and maybe make a copy later
