Best App for Guitar Scales and learning to Solo?

I have always struggled with learning scale progressions and being comfortable with even simple solo runs, so have resigned myself to being a campfire guitar player.

But then I thought about how there had to be a really good iPad app that helps learn these things.

Can anyone recommend a good one?

I just found ( but haven't yet bought ) Guitarist's Reference. Reviews seem kinda mixed, but the app looks pretty robust....
