Currently in Italy, and somehow my wife managed to use up 30 GB in just 6 hours. Seems almost impossible (I'm quite certain it's an error), but I’d really like to get some kind of warning before this happens again.

So I’m looking for an iPhone widget or app that shows current mobile data usage — does anyone have any good tips? There’s an app called Didget, but most of the useful features are behind a paywall. I don’t mind paying, but I’d like to know if the app is actually good before spending money on it.

So, what’s the best “track mobile data usage” app for the money? :)

Question: I can't see the App tracker panel as per the right part of the screen shot. It seems I have to turn on VPN for that...?
It kinda misses the target if you can’t see which app is the culprit.

If all you want to do is monitor how much data each app is using rather than how much internet data you are using then simply go to Settings/Cellular (or Mobile Data) and scroll down to view the list of Apps and their corresponding data usage. You can even turn them off independently.

What I want is to get a warning when you use more than X MB of data per Y period.
Eg, if you use more than 400 MB per day you should get a notice.
Expecting a user to check their data usage several times a day isn’t realistic…

In that case go back to My Data Manager then select Settings/My Alarms. Now select Mobile followed by Custom Alarms. Enter the data amount before an alarm is sent to you. Repeat the same procedure for WiFi and Roaming if you need it.

I am looking at it now. However, I miss the function where I can see how much data each app consumes. Have emailed the developer.

Edit: According the Gemini AI, the App tracker only exists on Android.

It seems like no app can track the usage of other apps. Must be one of those ‘Apple locks everything down’ things. Even though the info is available in Settings, it would definitely be nice to have it all in one app…
