I’ve used AutoSleep to track my sleep for a long time now, but it doesn’t seem to work anymore, so I’m looking at different apps. Preferably something that has a sleep cycle alarm built-in. So far, I’ve looked at Pillow and Sleep++. How do those apps compare to AutoSleep? Is there anything I can try to get AutoSleep back on track?

I'm using pillow longer than one year. it Worke grat for me, only - was that there was no autosleep tracker... Few days back they made big update, now autosleep is working fine, you can even choose between auto and manual sleep detect.. You can edit sleep cycle, i realy like it!

Does it have a haptic alarm feature?

I don't know.I'm not using it for alarm, only for sleep analyze. I'm using normal alarm and then i turn off sound of watch and have only haptic alarm...

I guess what I meant is an alarm that functions based off of sleep cycles.

First question: how much does it cost?

I bought it a long time ago for my iPhone 3GS, but I think the basic version is free these days. I don’t use any features that are from the current paid version. It does have haptic support in the free version.

I've got Sleep++, SleepMatic, Sleep Cycle, and AutoSleep installed on my Apple Watch. Over the years, I have tried them all. If you can measure it, you can manage it. AutoSleep connects with HeartWatch. Two apps that I use do not use the Apple Watch rather they use the iPad or iPhone. I use Snore Lab on an iPad next to the bed. I've gained a lot of insight from that app. Eight Sleep is my favorite. It's not a cheap alternative but it is the most accurate that I have found. It also incorporates bed warming and IFTTT into it.

I like sleep tracking that doesn't require me to remember to actually start it. Sleep Cycle is the best one for waking me up at that right moment. AutoSleep does a great job of tracking. Snore Lab records some pretty scary sounds. The cat snores.

I would try reinstalling Autosleep. Ive used it for over a year now without an issue and find it to be very comprehensive for sleep tracking. you could just have a bug if its not working anymore and needing a fresh reinstall.

I’ve been trying Pillow this week. I paid for the IAP and even though I don’t like the lack of a haptic smart alarm (a la AutoWake), the data seems to be easier to understand than the data from AutoSleep. Plus, the audio recording feature revealed to me just how much I snore. That was scary. Overall, again due to the data being much easier for me to comprehend, it seems that Pillow is the best inexpensive app for me at this time. Thank you all for your suggestions.

After reading this thread last night I went and got AutoSleep and Heartwatch. I set it up best I figured given that I barely browsed the info and went to to bed thinking it may or may not work and if not, I’d deal with it in the morning.
When I got up it had basically nailed it. I did get up twice last night which is unusual for me and it only figured it out once, so that’s all I could find fault with. When I went to bed initially I read for awhile. It seemed to have caught that too. (Time in bed awake; on the graph prior to sleeping) It recorded 8:11 hours sleep with close to four of that deep sleep. I’m not going to change the setup at all, at least until I’ve read through everything today.
Thanks for putting me onto this folks. S

I am using HeartWatch and Autosleep too! Same developer has now also a third app, called AutoWake. It is a smart sleep alarm. Not tried it out so far, ir you could use it standalone for sleep tracking as well.

I use and a fan of Sleep Watch. Works every time

If you dont want to spend any $$ give Sleep++ a go. You just have to start and stop it manually.
