Best app to read/edit MS Word Documents?

Hi,

I'm trying to find an app which will let me read, edit and then transfer word documents from my ipod touch to PC.

What is the best app for that?

I'm looking at Quickoffice and documents to go, but they are both fairly expensive and offer more functions than I need (just word documents).

What would you suggest?

Also, how do these apps transfer files to and from my computer? Wifi? How?
