Still don't know what your saying. Are you wanting to control your garage, video game systems, electronics etc with your phone?
You can do somethings like that, but it's more complicated then your pry assuming and will cost a lot more then $5 and in some case you still have to pay for the apps and have other equipment as well like your home theater etc to take advantage of it. Like Creston has an app for some things but it's around $100 just for the app. Smarthome has some app's as well for different automations but cost a lot more then $5... and like I said before in some cases whether home theater or else you still need other hardware to take advantage.
I tried some app's previously and didn't care for them for home theater, their not as smooth or fast or easy to navigate through as my Logitec Harmony 100 remote which controls everything and even lights with Insteon IRlinc. You can program it easily to turn on which devices you want with a press of a button i.e. home theater and tv, or video game systems, no theater etc.
