This week we saw a variety of deals ranging from Apple's MagSafe charging accessories to its MacBook Air and iPad devices, as well as a notable discount on the first year of 1Password for new users. All of these deals are still available today.

  • What's the deal? Take $5 off MagSafe Charger
  • Where can I get it? Amazon

We kicked off this week by focusing on a trio of deals on Apple's MagSafe accessory lineup, headlined by the MagSafe Charger, which is still available for $34.00, down from $39.00. This isn't the lowest price we've ever seen, but it is one of the rare times we've seen any sort of markdown in 2022.

You can also get the MagSafe Battery Pack for $79.99 ($19 off) and the MagSafe Duo Charger for $114.97 ($14 off), both available on Amazon. The MagSafe Battery Pack has dropped even further compared to when we posted earlier in the week, when it was around $87.

iPads

? Hmm. I wonder why 1Password is on sale?
Because they just "upgraded' it in a ridiculous way and have likely lost a ton of users due to their use of making it a very inefficient Electron app.

Yes, I know how it works (R + Electron & more). I would strongly advise against buying 1Password anymore. If you don't believe me, just search this forum for the numerous huge threads talking about it and how much it sucks.
They took it way too far to make it easy to make cross-platform. In the process they completely changed the way the Mac/iOS app works
. If you're dead set on buying it, please at least look at what they did in version 8 versus the fully-native app with version 7.

I wouldn't touch it. Especially on an M1 with more limited memory resources. It doesn't look or even feel "Mac-like" anymore. A huge disappointment and hope they do lose a ton of customer because they deserve it since they're putting a huge investment that they somehow got, a multi-million investment.
They are now making it more for Enterprise users. It's not a long-shot to even say that they're shoving Mac/iOS users to the curb.

I would say, find an alternative. The threads with pages and pages on MR will show you some alternatives. Look into them well. It's a horribly sad story that 1Password, which was in the last version, version 7x a native, fast & efficient app. They then took the super easy Javascript route and used Electron to wrap everything up, making it spawn tons of sub-processes & waste lots of memory resources.

Buyer beware! I'd categorize it & the actual hostile 1Password responses all over reddit & direct support. Not cool.
