Bah! Humbug!

I'm tired of all the "deals" on the entry level Macbook Air. What I really want is a lower price on something a little higher end:

Keep 8-core-GPU, I don't need the extra 2 cores, I'm happy with the binning that gives me imperfect silicon for $100 less than 10-core

Give me 16 GB of RAM. I need more than 8, especially since RAM is shared between the CPU and GPU.

I want at least 512 GB of SSD.

I agree. Always seem to be deals on the entry level models. If it's a higher end model, lucky to get ANY discounts.
