Amazon has the AirPods Max for $399.00 in every color this week, down from $549.00. This is nearly a match of the all-time low price on the headphones, just $5 higher than that Prime Day deal we saw in July.

Some good Mac deals here but I think once the M4s start rolling out the M3s will not seem like very good deals anymore. Especially if base M4 models come with 16GB RAM. I suspect Apple may up the base SSD to 512GB, too. The availability of 256GB chips will force Apple to make 512GB the minimum pretty soon now. I can see it happening.

Unless you have some kind of burning desire to have the very latest, greatest Apple gear now would be the time to take advantage of these discounts. You get a top notch product at a good price.

I know MR doesn't get kickbacks from them, but I'd buy any MacBook from Costco over Amazon. Additional 2% cash back and an additional year of warranty if you use their credit card.

Just got a like new WiFi 2022 iPad Pro 11” (4th generation) with 256 GB of storage and nearly a year left on its basic Apple Warranty on eBay for $600.

I love it. The price was right, I can’t imagine I’ll ever do anything on it to really push the M2 to its limit so an M4 would have been overkill for somebody with a use case like mine but having Face ID makes it so much easier for me to use.

I found myself almost never using my OG 9.7” iPad Pro after I got the iPhone X with Face ID and a screen just large enough that I didn’t feel it hurt the web browsing and media viewing experience as much as previous smaller screened phones did but I wasn’t comfortable not having an iPad because prior to the iPhone X I used it everyday once I got home from work and put my phone by the bedside charger so I got a 10 Gen iPad back in 2022 when the 9.7” Pro stopped getting OS updates just to have one in case my use preferences went back to liking the larger screened iPad did but it just didn’t “feel” right going back from Face ID to Touch ID and having different buttons and a different enough use experience with Touch ID and the button configuration since after the iPhone X I went to the iPhone 12 Pro followed by the iPhone 15 Pro.

This M2 iPad Pro with Face ID just feels like a larger version of my phone again which I like. I don’t have to think about things when I want to say, take a screenshot or do a hard restart, and with Face ID back I can unlock it with a look and not have to Touch a button.

Plus I’ll get the whole Apple Intelligence experience with it since it’s got the processor and RAM that seems to be required for on device LLM processing. Trusting that I’ll care about Apple Intelligence is a bit of a leap of faith but we’ll see. Either way I wanted a iPad that didn’t feel like a second class citizen.

Just waiting for the Apple Pencil 2 to arrive and hopefully I fall back into a usage pattern of setting the phone down in favor of the iPad when I’m on the couch like I used to prior to the iPhone X.
