Best application for extracting audio from video?

I use Garage Band and Quicktime. Let's say I want to make a ringtone from a part of a movie. Providing you can open the movie in Quicktime, then I trim the video to the part I want. After that I drag it to Garage Band and then strip the audio and edit accordingly.

Quicktime. Just change the file type when you Save As or Export (I forget what it's called in QT).
