Hey all,

My iPhone 2g finally bit the proverbial dust, but I don't want to hop into a new contract to get a 4 so close to the release of the 5.

If you were looking to get the best possible deal on a 3GS (don't care capacity, prefer black but price is most important), where would you look? What would be your strategy? What do you think I should expect to pay?

Thanks,

_Evan

What's a good deal for an 8gb, 16gb, or 32gb?

Got a few offers out on fully working 16gb for 200-220 - that decent?

Back in November I was able to sell my iPhone 3G 16GB for $200 (with cosmetic blemishes and a scratched screen), so if you can find a decent iPhone 3GS for $200, I wouldn't think that would be a bad deal.

YMMV of course, but I have a friend who purchased a 32GB 3GS off of Craigslist a couple of months ago, and it also happened to still have a few months of AppleCare left on it. He paid $200. :p The plastic back was showing the infamous "cracks" so he took it to an Apple Store and they exchanged it for a like-new one.

Lucky SOB.
