Hi all

I’m rather new to Apple Watch so been using Garmin->Strava as my single source and hence haven’t been referring to Apple Health data.

Now I’m all in Apple Watch and would like to migrate away from Strava. I’m noticing a few issues:

1) GPS map doesn’t show up in Apple health from Garmin Connect imports

2) Duplicate workouts with Apple Health counting workouts from the WorkOutdoors app and Strava exports

As I’m only a month into the Apple Health ecosystem - I was thinking maybe to delete all and restart and import via RunGap? Is that the best way to ensure my historical data stays intact?

Thanks in advance

Correct, however, you can prioritize which source takes priority under a category. In this case, order maybe Watch, WO, Strava. But again, depending on category, might want to flip Watch and WO.

Go to a category, scroll down, tap "Data Sources", "Edit" at upper-right, now you will see the 3-bar slider thing to allow you to drag the sources into the order you want. First in line is used as primary, second fills in any gaps #1 misses, and so forth.

So even though all the sources are recording/saving, all the values are not being used (ie. not doubling values). Good example would be Steps. Wearing the Watch and iPhone with you, both are recording steps. But if you tally the raw data, you'll see that they are not all being used.

Thank you for that tip!

What about for point 1) how do I get the visual map to show up? I see the map in Garmin Connect (original) and on Strava but not for some reason on Apple Health
