I have some textbooks on my iPad, however, I usually have to do activities in them (ex math) and switching between apps rather than looking right at it is quite a pain and really slows me down. Are there any suggestions?

I currently use Notability, however, that means I have to switch between the document containing the textbook and the document where I'm doing work. There isn't really a way to look at two PDF's at once, is there?

Not that I am aware of.

I am in pharmacy school and this problem has frequently come up.

Usually if I'm just needing to look at notes to review them, cram, etc or study note cards, my iPad mini is perfect for this.

I also use it to take notes in class. (Used to use Notability but have switched to PDFpen because it has a very good PDF search.)

However, if I am needing to look at multiple notes, I am usually at my iMac with my iPad. If the textbooks you are reading can be used in a PDF form, then whatever annotations, notes, etc you make on them using PDFpen on the Mac or iPad will show up on the other.
