Anyone recommend any decent cases I could use for 30 days or so (and get full refund) until my free case comes?

I'm currently using an incipio silicrylic black/black which doesn't have the flash issue. I like the soft then hard design, which in theory should absorb more impact from drops.

That is so wrong IMO working in a retail store. :( Not an ATT store by the way...

I ended up buying a crapy Belkin IMO and the excellent Case-Mate Carbon Fiber Combo from ATT and the Otterbox Defender from Best Buy. To be honest I thought I would end up keeping the two cases from ATT after trying the Otterbox Defender case.... So IMO nothing wrong in using the return privilege - it is just that, not a right to test out what works best for you.

But to use it as a FREE loaner till your free case comes in is just wrong....

It's not wrong. It's not like he's laundering millions or anything, it's a $35 cell phone case.

To be honest, all the AT&T cases are quite lame. I'd go out and look on ebay, or get the Suede case from Water Field.

Although it is possible.... Like already stated it is wrong.

Kind of like how many are buying the Black iPhone 4 16gb's and just returning them to get a 32gb model a few weeks later or the White one if/when it comes out... just wrong =(

There is a cost to a retailer for any return... Maybe it is that I work in retail... But I bought the two cases from ATT thinking I would keep both... the Belkin was one that i really wanted to work out as a pocket style flip case... but so poorly made I am giving up on it....

I fell in lust over the Case-Mate Carbon Fiber Combo - but felt that it seemed larger compared to the pics of the Otterbox Defender I had seen in a thread here.

AFTER I learned on how relatively easy it as to open up the Defender, it still does not meet my needs for easy access. So i will stay with the Case-Mate case.

But in no way did i try to try for a FREE case to use till my FREE one came in from Apple....

Careful there LOL :D

When I went to pick-up my iPhone 4 16gb a couple weeks ago, I was offered to get a 32gb model at the time... It was only after a couple of weeks that I realized the error in my ways.

I had the 1st iPhone with 8gb and still had lots of room left over. But with the better camera and the video recording I saw that more space could be needed...

Simple solution to the retailer: don't allow returns on cases. Put it in fine print, tell the customer. With the free case program going on, it's bound to happen, and if they want to prevent it they should go through the necessary methods.

blah blah blah. Not another one of these threads! JUST GET A 99c TPU CASE FROM EBAY. It'll save you from getting ur ass up and returning the case and possibly a restocking fee. yw.

If you're going to do something shady, why come asking for advice? I must be totally naive, but before I came to this board never in a million years would I think people did these kind of things. You can't spend $1-$10 on a cheap case? Sad. I mean really - you can afford an Iphone, but you can't spend a little on a case?

Exactly!!!!

The Incipio NGP Soft Shell is actually a really nice case.

Was $25 at the AT&T store.

Agree but the one at Wal-Mart is much nicer (cheaper too). The black one at AT&T is just kind of ugly and plain. The one at Wal-Mart is clear but frosted so you can still see some of the iphone through the case (Apple logo, antenna, etc.). I'm not sure what they call the color but I believe it's the only one they sell at Wal-Mart anyway. It's a very nice case for the money. There are pictures posted in this thread:

Its posts like the OP's that make me want to kill off my account.

you really think the black one looks ugly? I thought the frosted one kinda looked ugly. And weird that Walmart is only $19.99 while AT&T store is $24.99 for the SAME case. Too bad Walmart doesn't sell the black one.

I really do. I normally use only black cases but I saw the black one in the AT&T store and it just looked kind of dingy to me. I also saw pics of it on the phone somewhere here and didn't like it at all. I like the way the frosted looks on the phone because at least I can see some of my iphone through it. I'm waiting on a black Pixelskin HD though and I'm curious to see how that compares with the NGP. I hear that it's even slimmer so that's a plus for me even though the NGP is very thin in its own right.

Sorry I forgot this is an apple fanboy site, which means everyone has the dough to buy hundreds of cases on a whim =P

And by the time those 'cheap cases' come in from the mail, my free case would have already arrived >.>"

And this is my way for payback, for all those drop calls and crappy signal issues i've had the past 2 years =/

Poor college student here =(
