I just installed iTunes on my M4 Max Studio using a great hack found here, on MacRumours (thanks bogdanw!).

I love that I can hook up my 5th gen iPod to my Mac through iTunes again. What I don't love is that 21,000+ songs in my hundreds of playlists didn't retain the Show View Option settings I last had. 😩

I tried recording an automated task with Automator with "Watch What I Do", but it doesn't seem to register mouse clicks (like clicking on or off View Option selections). I tried ScriptEditor as well (admittedly, I'm a Luddite on this front), but it also couldn't register mouse clicks. Is there an automator app that is able to register and deploy mouse clicks when the action is run?

And yes, I extended Accessibility settings under Privacy & Security for the apps and actions in System Preferences.

Thanks in advance for any help, or pointing me in the right direction.

And forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section. If I did, I'll delete it and move it to the correct section.

In the Windows world something like AutoHotKey comes to mind from your description. I've have no experience with it but I seen people tout BetterTouchTool as an equivalent, but better because of the gui. It might be what you are looking for.
