In regards to the backup methods in iTunes, what us the best way -:?

a) Uncheck the "Keep organised" and "Copy to iTunes Media Folder" so you can place you pr content anywhere outside thus folder, even on external drives. Or

b) change the Storage location and point it to your other drive, then when asked to update, say "No" thus having the sane effect. More or less.
