Hi,
I'm starting school soon and I'm looking for a backpack big enough to fit a 17" laptop (yes, I know it's big but it's the only one I got) and couple books and perhaps an iPad as well. Basically, I need a sturdy backpack that's big enough to carry all my gadgets and books, yet still looks good and comfortable so my back doesn't give out.

Also, if the backpack has a portable battery pack attached, it would be awesome. I use my laptop a lot and sometimes, I can't find a place to recharge.

Anyone recommend any good backpacks or current ones they use?

I got a backpack for the same reasons and went with the Timbuk2 Q.

It's not too big and I like that. Alternatively, the Timbuk 2 HAL is very similar but more spacious. I'm not sure I would pay $99 for it, but I managed to find it on sale for $65. It's got a dedicated charger spot on the bottom and a separately padded laptop interior (I think it does 17", but I only have an 11" Air). I can generally fit one larger chemistry textbook, a large spiral notebook, and my lab book, in addition to my MacBook Air and iPad in the separate.

It's very comfortable!
