I'm having a wake from sleep issue on my MBP. My trip to the Genius Bar this morning didn't net much - other than it's logged. He suggested a reinstall to see if it goes away.

Given that I did a target mode copy and did more than i should have (apps included) given that i was coming from a G4->Intel, i'm cool with trying it. Never felt the system was "clean". Also, if i have to send it off for a repair - this will be needed anyway.

I have a new 750gb FW drive to use for a backup - but just can't wrap my brain around a course of action. Probably because a couple of hours at the Apple Store for "Apple Camp" Garage Band was, well, LOUD :D

I am a .Mac user so i have access to Backup, i could do a SuperDuper clone (but then can you selectively restore?!), what other things should i consider? (The budget is ZERO after buying the drive today).

Off the top of my head, what i can wrap around at the moment is:

• new Aperture Vault on new drive

• DVD back-up of Aperture Vault up-to-date (with .Mac Backup)
*** Is there a way to save that info so on restore I can keep the incremental going? Because seriously, the thought of redoing the 11 DVDs it's at could make me puke***

• Mac Mail backed up correctly (have done it wrong before and lost stuff :()

• Documents, Fonts, and misc crap on disk backed up. (Including, iWeb, iPhoto and iCal - Palm folder for Treo...)

• Find that safe place i put the Airport Extreme disk in (can't be far on this desk mess!)

• I know i'm missing something......

OK, so if you can throw your 2 cents in, or point me to a term to search on to get the info (I suck at searches, and that brain fried thing is coming into play) i'd appreciate it....

I'm not sure i should attempt this tonight - i'll probably mess up.

OK, so apparently i have a 3yo with a burnt finger - according to the 8yo, NOT the 3yo.

Thanks bunches.....
