I'm (hopefully - order is in!), getting an iPad mini's for my 2 kids for chrimbo.

What is the best way to keep them protected? Is a zagg shield on the back and front best? They will be used in the house only really, so a big leather case, I dont want (like the thinness etc)

Are these mini's very scratch proof? or do they scratch up straight away on the back etc? (getting 1 white, 1 black)

What are people using for younger kids (mine are 13 & 9)
cheers

I'm looking for a good back case too. I think the mini's back can be scratched fairly easily. I bought the smart cover, but I haven't found a good shell yet.

I just picked up a SwitchEasy CoverBuddy and it's awesome. It works with the Smart Cover and its only $20. They also have a 'Canvas' if you'd like protection with a built in Smart Cover.

Head over to the iPad Accesseries forum -- lots of discussion of cases, etc. over there.

Regards,
Tom
