Im looking for a powered speaker with the following considerations/specs:

- Bluetooth capability (airplay and wifi would be nice but not mandatory)
- Loud
- Self powered and permanently plugged in wall outlet ( i dont want to keep recharging the speakers)
- This will be used in a permanent location (I dont want a portable speaker)
- Will be used for kids so quality of sound is not too important (no need for B&W quality and such. What they want are loud speakers)
- I want an all in 1 system (I dont want to buy a receiver and a book shelf speaker)
- Max size is around as big as 2x or 3x shoe box

FYI, I already have the JBL Charge3 for portable music playing. I also have a stereo system in my own room.

Budget is around $300 or such

Players = Iphone / Ipad using spotify

Suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks.

The Edifier models at Amazon get good reviews but I've never heard them. This pair is $250 but the $150 pair they make may be loud/good enough.

Why not just get the HomePod? It sounds like that is exactly what you are looking for, plus it actually does have good quality sound (according to reviews).

If sound quality doesn’t matter then I would suggest a generic Amazon Bluetooth speaker that meets the rest of your criteria.

20W 15 Hours Super Loud Bluetooth Speakers, TaoTronics 360 Degree Surround Sound Wireless Portable Speaker ( Dual 10W Drivers, Volume & Track Control, Built-in Microphone, Hands-free Phone Calls) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XRMXPCF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DCiBAbEJG4FXZ

I picked that one (but not suggesting it) because it says “super loud” that way if it’s not loud enough you can return it for free (not as advertised).

What type of area will the be used in? Room, gymnasium, outside?

Thanks for the link but i think that's not a speaker that is designed to be connected to the wall outlet indefinitely.

The B&w speaker that’s 300 is a great speaker the hardon karmon speakers are not bad at all. But a lot of them don’t go real loud.

While not a permanent fixture nothing states otherwise.

I checked the B&W 300 but it isnt a bluetooth self powered speaker. Or am i viewing a different speaker?
