Many college students are looking for new back to school Macs and many states are now having "tax free" holidays so I thought it would be a good chance to post some current deals from Best Buy. All of these prices I got from their site after factoring in the $100 college student instant coupon that you can sign up for here. Hope this helps someone! (I recently posted a MacBook Air deal in a different post and it seemed to help many!!)

EDIT: To make the deal even better, $25 off if you use an American Express (through their Sync offer on Twitter) and you get Best Buy Reward Points (2-5%).

I would just like to point out that these sales are for models that are either currently being phased out or soon to be phased out. The haswell MBA's are not heavily discounted, the MBP's are soon to have a haswell variant as well.

Correct but right now they are the current generation.

In the case of the MBP your are correct, but the discounted MBA's are not current gen. I just wanted to make sure anyone taking advantage of this sale was aware.

If you actually look at the link, it does say the 4th generation Haswell MBAs are included.

Exactly... I see the same thing. These should all be the latest. For example, if you click the link the top one is MD712LL/A which is the latest.

Interesting, when i click the link it show the 4th gen MBA's but only at a $50 - $60 price cut which is nearly equivalent to the education pricing in the back to school promo (without the gift cards)

The 3rd gen MBA's however are discounted much more.

EDIT: oops, i now see your were factoring in the $100 gift card into the purchase price, that's where i saw confusion.

it is not a gift card but a direct discount, which is nicer than the Apple store $100 iTunes card.
