I ordered a 2018 15” 512GB Macbook Pro for $2200 ($600 off) before sale tax, but I have not picked it up from BestBuy yet.
Should I pick it up or cancel my order then wait for 2019 Macbook Pro?

Cancel and wait if you can afford to. I've already had to have my Macbook (12") keyboard changed out. They are very fragile. Sad part is I don't use it that much because I have a Mac Mini and before this an iMac.

I have used my 2013 15” MacBook Pro since 2013, and it is still working flawlessly.

What I actually need is either a replacement for my 17” mbp, or an ultraportable 13”, & for Apple money, either one needs to be up to date chipset-wise & capable of heavy lifting, driving FCPX on at least one decent 4K-5k 30-36” external display.

Stick an six-core i9 and 32GB ram in a 13, Vega graphics, & lose the gimmicky touchbar, and it’s perfect. Put a 16.5-17” display on it and it’s even better than perfect.

Anyway, I gave up waiting. My new iMac arrives tomorrow. My last workstation.

If its not for you, you do know that you can just move on right? No need to complain about everything smh

He didn’t complain about everything, he complained about one thing: the abysmal keyboards on Mac laptops. I myself eould love to buy a new laptop, but the keyboard issue is a dealbreaker. Why do you feel it’s so important for people like me and Whaler not to mention this fact in public?

Junk keyboards? No sale.
It’s amazing one can’t buy a reliable, high quality laptop from Apple at any price.

Not true. You can still buy a 2017 Macbook Air with good keyboard, useful ports, SD card reader and MagSafe. That's what I just did. :p
