Best Buy has a huge collection of discounts on Apple's MacBook Air this weekend, including both the previous generation M2 models from 2022 and the brand new M3 computers that launched this year. In regards to the M2 models, you'll find the best deals at Amazon.

M2 MacBook Air

Amazon today has every model of the 2022 13-inch MacBook Air available for $170 off, representing new all-time low prices on the notebooks. These prices are available to all shoppers and do not require a coupon code.

The 256GB model is on sale for $829.00 and the 512GB model is available for $1,029.00. These deals beat the previous prices we tracked earlier in the year by about $50.

You can get both models in all four colors: Starlight, Space Gray, Silver, and Midnight. Following the introduction of the M3 MacBook Air, Apple knocked the price of the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air down by $100, and it's still selling them alongside the M3 model.
M3 MacBook Air

You can find all-time low prices across the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air lineup at Best Buy, including up to $100 off these 2024 computers. Prices start at $1,199.00 for the 256GB model, and include both 512GB versions of the computer as well.

One thing I found out about buying a Mac from BestBuy. They won't let you order a preconfigured Mac. You can at London Drugs in Canada, but you best bet is going to a Apple Store and order it there if they don't have what you want in stock

Can't remember the last time I didn't buy a Mac anywhere other than Best Buy. $799 brand new for my M1 iMac, $905 for an openbox excellent 15' M2 Air I used for a year before trading it in for $780 value and getting a $1299 excellent refurbished M1 Pro 16'... Oh, and $402 Excellent-good Mac mini in early 2022 that I used for a bit before giving it to my spouse.

I even helped my mom upgrade her intel MBP 13 from 2019 to an M2 Air using this very $849 discount mentioned yesterday. BB gave her $315 trade-in value for that Intel junk she was using, and she got a brand new M-series Mac for $566 after-tax.

Unreal discounts.

Looks like everyone is trying to get rid of inventory before WWDC
The only problem is that Apple doesn't usually announce new Mac's until the fall. WWDC is usually the kick0ff to the beta release of the next OS that is usually rel.eased in the fall.

Wish we had those prices in Canada

Yeah... The fact I was able to use the 15' M2 Air for, effectively, $125 dollars for 12 months was surreal. That was $10.41 a month!

Granted it did bring the price of my 16' MBP to near $1500, but I've always, always wanted a 16' Pro and if I can get anywhere from $700-$900 trade-in value when the M4/M5 16' comes out, the whole ordeal of two different M-series Macs in 24+ months would bring me to $600 or so out of pocket.

I would like to upgrade my M1 Air to get more storage, but prefer the wedge shape and am not ready to give it up yet.
I really thought they were going to keep that form factor and come out with a lower priced MacBook SE. But I guess they are able to keep around the M2 to come close to that lower price point.

I expect an M4 MacBook Air sooner rather than later, even if only for Apple to be able to retire the more expensive N3B node process of the M3 for the cheaper N3E node process of the M4. It will probably only be a SoC spec bump, but it would allow Apple to retire the M3 sooner rather than later.

But after Apple announces all the AI goodness to come who will buy an M2 or M3 machine? They won't sell diddly until the M4 machines ship. So Now is the time to unload the obsolete technology. Yes I am being slightly sarcastic, but only a little. There will be great prices on used Non-AI capable machines in the future.

$850 for an M2 laptop, $600 for a base Mini with no screen, keyboard, trackpad, or UPS. Is two extra USB ports and ethernet worth the trade?

Good to see discounts on the 15" M3 Air. Not uncommon to see discounts on the MacBook Air

If Apple fixes the temporal dithering problem, they won't need such discounts.

They are trying to fix engineering and design problems with financial engineering. At some point, the music stops.

Right now, they are following this playbook:
build crap stuff -> over-price it -> offer discounts

Can't fault them since many luxury brands are doing the same.

I went for a 16Gb/1Tb M1 MBA and hope it will last many more years yet, at least until the notch goes. Looking back, it seems really odd that they put the first Apple Silicon in a form factor they were about to retire, but I'm glad they did.

$100 off M3 "steep discount"
Don't forget Apple refurbished. I bought an M2 15" 2 TB on there and am very happy. Machine looked good as new. There are lots of higher end configs on there.

I was going to say the same thing, We got M2 refurb 16 Gb / 512 Gb for $1189.00 from a refurb store few months ago.

Back then it made perfect sense. The original attitude toward Apple silicon prior to release was not great, seen as a cost cutting measure. As well the experience was initially marred by having most things run through a translation layer.
