I just bought one from Best Buy. BB offers $100 off as a student discount but I got them to "price match" Apple's $200 off student discount.

Do you think I'll be able to get a $100 refund? I think it depends on whether they priced matched the final price or matched the $200 discount. I'm not sure what they do though.

I tried to do this, the store I went to basically told me I have to take their 100$ off coupon with their sale price, or take Apple's price of $1999. You save $10. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

And now that I read through it all, I don't think it is the same thing... the price for the MBPR is now 110 dollars less than I paid at BB last week. So I will be going back to get the price matching. This has nothing to do with educational discount and nothing to do with 50 dollars off for whatever that means.
