Anyone order from Best Buy this year? I had a release date pick up for my new Pro, but just found out there were delays in shipments to warehouse and it will likely be September 26th. I ordered a Cosmic Orange Pro 512GB.

And yet they claim you can still get the Blue Pro in 256GB for pickup tomorrow at every location. Best Buy doesn't know what Best Buy's doing.
Best Buy is the worse when it comes down to getting an iPhone on launch day. Good luck. Learned my lesson years ago
It is 99% not a BestBuy issue since they depend on Apple to supply the inventory. Orange is the new color and it very likely had less inventory for launch day. BestBuy just like any authorized distributor orders blind bulk orders from Apple.
Now customers are reporting that Apple retail stores have a very limited supply of the Orange units.

I have actually found Best Buy a very convenient place to get past iPhone on launch day. In fact the last two iPhone's I actually ordered on launch day I did so through Best Buy. It is usually pretty stress free because almost everyone else goes to Apple or their carrier for ISPU. That usually makes it a breeze to get one from Best Buy. Not sure what happened this year, but I have at least had good experiences with them in the past.
They are doing their best ok?! They see blue and think the employees are iPhones.
Yes BB is a good option but it is risky for Launch Day. As their initial deliveries are often slightly delayed but are usually good by Saturday. As you @Andy2k experienced today.

Anyone have non-launch day experience with Best Buy? I ordered my Orange 17 PM from the ATT site on the 14th and delivery was set to November 10! So, I was told by an online ATT rep I would get it faster if I cancelled my order and went in store. I cancelled and went to Best Buy today (Fayetteville AR) and ordered my 256GB Orange 17 PM. When in store they said I should be able to pick it up the 26th. After I paid and left it now says 9/26 BACKORDER. Am I pretty much screwed and still going to wait a while or is BB pretty good about getting their back orders in?
EDIT: This is my 1st time to EVER get a phone from BB so, I legitimately have no idea what to expect (I just hoped since they are Apple certified technicians maybe they had the hookup with Apple since there’s no Apple Store here where I live).

It is back-ordered because they do not have it in the store to hand to you. It should be available on 9/26 or earlier if the order arrives before Friday.
