Also, please do not pay for Best Buy’s $180 Total tech plan to get discounts. It does include Apple Care+ on Apple products however you have you renew after 12 months (another $180) to keep your active protection for the full second year. If you cancel at any time you’re Apple care plan will end immediately

Education users get $100 off.

And I can get more with the apple education discount!

Not everyone qualifies for the EDU discount. I know Apple rarely checks eligibility, and I’m not judging those who use it without qualifying—but it’s really not appropriate to argue that Best Buy’s discount is bad simply because an Apple EDU discount exists.

This is an important PSA. I nearly fell for it when I got an iPad last year - they deliberately make it look cheaper than Applecare+ until you realize that it costs $180 per year. It only makes sense if you buy a ton of stuff and generally also pay for extended warranties.

Nice. Doesn't make it right though.

Like I said before, I'm not here to judge - just pointing out that BB's discounts shouldn't be compared to Apple EDU.

Total tech Plan is NOT only for  Products but everything else you buy from them. TV, Audio, Home Appliances, Kitchen products etc... whatever they sell is all covered. It is well worthy if you spend at least 2K and upwards a year. Not to mention the discount on most products they offer  and other products.

I have been taken in by Best Buy lack of transparency on so called perks that turn out to be different than expected, or if I had read the small print. Thanks to the original poster for highlighting this.
