Best Buy Preorder - Refund Gift Card?

I know that best buy does not give refunds on gift cards when purchased in the store.

But I read someone on here state that best buy will refund the gift cards that were put down towards a reserve.

Can anyone confirm this? I think I might cancel my preorder.

I went in to the store after they called me today. They offered to cash out my gift card, but my friend is going to use the pre-order. But they said they had no problem returning it.
