Just got my iPhone 14 pro max and I’m shocked Best Buy would ship it in a tiny bubble wrap envelope. Phone appears to have no damage despite the iPhone box being smashed in on the corners.

TF is wrong with them!? Anyone else get their Best Buy order in an envelope?

Yeah Best Buy does not know how to ship expensive devices. They use unreliable shipping carriers to ship expensive products.

SMH lol the way ups handles packages you’d think they’d know better
Yeah, but you gotta also remember Best Buy uses there stores as Warehouses so if you had it shipped from a store the rep was probably lazy and just grabbed what was in front of them. Because when I worked there I dreaded having to use a box lol you have to grab the box, tape the box, put packing paper inside the box but I still did it because lol that’s how I would want it done.

They shipped my iPad Air 5 Blue in a bubble wrapper. The bottom left corner was heavily damaged and kind of surprised nothing happened to the device. Of course, I had to return it because of the creaking issue which bothered me.

You need to contact Best Buy and let them know what they did with shipping is unacceptable.

O2 shipped my Z Fold 4 in a courier bag. No padding, no bubble wrap and no outer box. Just the Samsung box inside a sealed bag.

People keep insisting on giving large sums of money to WorstBuy. As long as y'all keep doing that, WorstBuy is going to keep doing things like this. Don't be an enabler.

I got my m1 11” iPad Pro in a bubble envelope from Costco at launch and thought that was kinda insane

They used a bubble wrapped envelope and the box is designed for impact. It's not as bad as you would think. You should see how Apple ships their $4000+ 16" MacBook pros for comparison. Hint: It's worse.

Apple ships almost everything double boxed. A MacBook Pro is double boxed and is certainly better than a bubble envelope.

I guess it's all relative. Phones are much lighter and have less mass that can sustain higher impact.

Macbook's are alot heavier and fragile by comparison in my opinion.

The mindset of an iphone customer has changed over the years. With the height of ebay and youtube (unboxing videos), many iphone customers are looking at the Apple packaging box as a collectable item and thus want the box to be intact BUT the mindset of suppliers has not changed. Their mindset is that the customer will throw away the Apple box and have everything stored away in a draw so naturally with this mindset any outer packaging will do.

Yea I have seen those carzy shipping. I ordered some zippo flints from Amazon a few weeks ago and the package arrives and you think they shipped those in a bubble wrap mailer. Guess again I got a 12" x 6" by 8" deep box for a tiny plastic dispenser of flints. I quit totally doing preorders on Apple products and just walk into the cell store and for the third time in 6 years walked out with a new iPhone.
