I find it hard to believe that there are discounts already being offered on the Retina MB Pros, but I just checked Best Buy and they're offering these:

15.4" rMBP, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD - $140 off retail
15.4" rMBP, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD - $110 off retail

Similar discounts for other new models, too.

Ah, didn't realize that... well, this discount is about 10 percent of what I'd need to make it something I can actually afford, so let's keep those cards and letters coming...

Open a upromise account, you can get 5% cashback. I combined it with my credit cards 1%. A decent change back at 2k+.
