Prices start at $279.00 for the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad, down from $349.00. You can also get the 256GB Wi-Fi tablet for $429.00, down from $499.00. These $70 discounts are solid second-best prices on the iPad and likely the best prices we'll see before the end of the year.

Tempting buy for the boomers in my life. They also use "Hey Siri" for everything. Would the soon to release 11 with apple intelligence be a better option or just the same? Hard to say my Siri is any better with 18.2 beta.

I have an iPad (10th generation) with the Magic Keyboard Folio since launch. The pairing helped me a lot. However in 2024, I won't really get this in full retail. It has an A14 Bionic with 4GB memory, similar to the iPhone 12. Glad to see a little bit of discount. A base iPad Air (11-inch) may be a better choice.

It's a good value

I would not worry too much about Apple intelligence at this point. It's more gimmick at this point and half baked at that.

I don't expect the baseline iPad to change much beyond a chip upgrade. It could get 128 GB storage but somehow I doubt it

Yea it's a tough one. Spend $600 after tax and have 2 4 gig of ram iPads that seem destined to to be immediately outdated or spend $1080 after tax and wonder if they will ever use the benefits of an iPad Air. The small ram of the iPad concerns me.
