Best Buy recently opened up a new Apple Watch sale, and in it you can get the 41mm GPS Apple Watch Series 9 for $309.00 in all aluminum colors, down from $399.00. These deals will only last for the remainder of today, so if you've been waiting for great Apple Watch deals, now is the time to buy.

You can also get the 45mm GPS Apple Watch Series 9 for $339.00, down from $429.00. Both of these deals are solid second-best prices that are just $10 higher when compared to their previous all-time low prices.

Best Buy has every aluminum model of the GPS Apple Watch Series 9 on sale, so you can get the Starlight, Pink, Midnight, Silver, and PRODUCT(RED) colors on sale at these record low prices. This also includes both S/M and M/L band sizes.

Best Buy also has cellular models of the Apple Watch Series 9 at best-ever prices. You can get the 41mm Cellular model for $409.00 and the 45mm Cellular model for $439.00, both of which are $90 markdowns. Stock on cellular models is much more strained, so you'll only find a few aluminum colors on sale at these prices.

As of last month, a sales ban was reenacted in the United States on any Apple Watch model sold by Apple that has blood oxygen sensing. While Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models purchased directly from Apple currently come with blood oxygen sensing disabled, retailers like Best Buy are able to continue selling through their existing stocks that include the feature.

If you are looking for cheaper Apple Watches, you can also get the Apple Watch SE on sale at Best Buy, all of which are at $60 off. The 40mm GPS model is available for $189.00, the 44mm GPS model is available for $219.00, the 40mm cellular model is available for $239.00, and the 44mm cellular model is available for $269.00.

If you click the links in the article, the product listing doesn't tell you if it has the blood oxygen feature. But if you search for Apple Watch on the Best Buy website, it'll tell you in the search results. So I recommend doing that.
Can confirm that Best Buy stock (Model:MR9A3LL/A) has blood oxygen sensing intact.

Apple Watch Series 9 (GPS) 45mm Starlight Aluminum Case with Starlight Sport Loop - Starlight
$339
Deal ends tonight 2/14/24.

The S9 models do have the blood oxygen feature, while supplies last.
Don't forget to save a bit more by trading in your older model.
S5 in good working condition is $90 for trade in so maybe a decent buy if battery life is waning.

I recently bought a Watch 9, and frankly - I don't think the blood oxygen monitor is particularly useful, as currently implemented. It's not a monitor - you have to launch the app and then sit there for 15 seconds while it checks your blood oxygen level.

It does take measurements in your sleep though. So if it’s in the 80s while you’re sleeping, maybe that can be a sign of sleep apnea or another sleep disorder. And it can come in handy if you’re really sick.

these things are on sale weekly at this point. I regret ever buying one with employee discount
That's true but this particular price is the lowest it's been. I missed this price point a couple of weeks ago and regretted not acting. I've been watching and waiting for it to get back to this low of a price.

I feel like at this price point, it's a good compromise of getting a discount on a watch that isn't right about to be replaced. Meaning buying the latest AW right after release, you don't usually get discounts at all. But waiting till discounts get really good means you usually get an older, outdated or about to be outdated model. This watch, at this time, at this price, is a good compromise since you're still getting the latest model only half way into the refresh cycle.

To sweeten the deal, I am trading in my AW 6 GPS because they are giving $121 refund for it. So after refund, I'm paying $234.

I'm pretty sure if I wait a few months, the trade in value will drop significantly, so that plays a big part in the timing of this. It's a matter of opportunity cost to trade in when it still has value. So paying $234, I get an updated watch (which means new battery compared to my AW6 which is already needing a recharge much sooner than when new) PLUS a new band that I actually like which would otherwise cost me $50 to buy separately. And on top of that, I get $15 in Best Buy $ for using my BB Credit Card. So in a way, if you count the value of a new band, plus the BB credit, it's like paying $169 for a new watch! (My wife says I can justify anything when it comes to buying stuff - especially Apple stuff 🤣)

Interesting comment. Is there something wrong with your Apple Watch 9? Did they change the way it works for iOS 10?

On my AW 7, it takes Blood Oxygen automatically at different times during the day. For example, I just brought up Blood Oxygen and it reported that my level was 99% 1 hour ago. I can also check it manually as desired.

I’ve never worn my watch at night, so it works without being asleep or in sleep mode.

You know, silly as it may sound - because the manual trigger worked, I somehow never thought about the possibility that my new watch wasn't functioning correctly! Sheesh...

Thank you.

By the way, I stumbled upon something the other day.

If you go to Settings on the watch, scroll way way down to Blood Oxygen, and tap on it, you’ll see three options. The first is Blood Oxygen Measurements and it should be lit up green for ON.

The blurb there even says it will take your blood oxygen levels “throughout the day” as well as on demand!
