You'll find both Wi-Fi and cellular tablets on sale at Best Buy, with a particular focus on the larger capacity 1TB and 2TB models. All deals listed below represent record low prices on each iPad Pro model, and many of them can currently only be found at Best Buy.

With such steep savings, these previous generation iPad Pros are worth looking into purchasing for anyone who wants to prioritize saving money over owning the newest M4 iPad Pro. There are some major differences between the two generations, like the M4's support for Apple Pencil Pro and a new nano-texture display option, so be sure to read about which one works best for you in our Buyer's Guide.

This is a great moment to get an awesome and super powerful iPad Pro, especially if you need 1TB/16GB or cellular. I mean, the 1TB + Cellular for just 1099? I’d get one in a heart beat!

Wow, 1k off for a 2TB, cellular + wifi... making it 1399?!? That's an insane deal. Even if it's not the latest M4. If I were in the market for an iPad I would jump on this.
Does it mean that all this time they could have been selling it for that price and still make a profit? That margin on the original price must be criminal. Either that, or there is something about how retail works that I don't understand and need someone to explain to me.

Killer deal.

I need to replace my 2018 11" pro and I've been flipping between m2 like this or m4. the M2 just isn't that "different" than what I have now. I was waiting for a big jump like the m4 + OLED so I might go that route instead.

I bought the 12.9" M2 1TB Cellular Model from the Apple Store shortly before the M4 was launched. It was a nice improvement over my 12.9" 2018 iPP but when I played with the 13" M4 at the Apple Store later on, I found the speed of the M4 to be quite noticeable. If you're on an iPad older than the M1, upgrading to the M2 iPP will be awesome but just don't try the M4 first because it will make you want to buy it instead.

I don’t think Best Buy is making money on the device, but Apple may give them a “rebate” based on selling the device based on whatever negotiated contract they have, or a guaranteed buyback price. In the end Best Buy isn’t hurting at the end.

There is no such thing as a “criminal” margin. The price is based on what the market will bear; basic Economics 101.

If I wasn’t already rocking an M1 2TB, I’d get the 12.9 wifi cell without hesitation.
woot had a similar deal recently.

Boy oh boy is it tempting.
But if I'm realistic, a $300 laptop is more useful. And I have a much nicer laptop than that. Just wish it had cellular.
On the other hand, windows has been getting worse over the years. Perhaps now is the time to see if I can live the ios-only life?

I’ve never had a cellular iPad and now I’m tempted.

How much do plans usually cost and are the devices carrier-agnostic?

MAjority of the people do not need 1TB or more for tablet.. It does sounds nice but honestly all in all, it's not useful for most people and that's why you have people saying, It is nice deal but do not see people actually jumping on this deal. Instead people want more discount for models that actually people use (256/512)

lol if you think margins on these are outrageous... Jewelry profit margins will blow your mind

FYI: There's another reason why this is a great deal. These M2 Pro's are a slightly beefier version of the M2 Air that was just released, which means these M2 Pro's should get the axe around the same time as the M2 Air's.

I believe most here miss the important part: The 1TB/2TB models come with 16GB of memory which is still more than the newer models with less than 1TB. So, in some scenarios this cheaper M2 iPad mit 16G memory may perform better than the M4 with 8GB. Highly depends on the use case though.

That said, it's not such an exclusive deal... it's just the market value of the tablet dropping by almost 50 percent. That in itself is something that may be a huge mistake by Apple. In the past Apple gear used to retain its value quite steady. More recently this is no longer the case.

Image you bought the 1Tb version 1(+) years ago, you lost already 45% in NEW value. Additionally your tablet is 1(+) years old and used. So, after 1 year for a mint condition iPad Pro you likely lost 60% (!!!) of value. I could image people now more than ever just wait for the dip to happen and buy at 50% off. Because the iPads are overpowered anyway and handicapped by their OS...

My understanding of retail is that getting a $1399 sale is better than carrying a hypothetical value $2399 inventory that you never actually see any cash for while its value continues to decrease. I expect this is less about maximizing profit and more about limiting loss.
