Best Buy has kicked off the week with fresh MacBook Air discounts, which are part of its big Back to School Sale that started over the weekend. In regards to the MacBook Air deals, you'll find record low prices on both the previous generation M2 MacBook Air, as well as the 2024 M3 models.

I have an M2 Air as a secondary laptop and it really kicks ass but it would be nice to be able to hook it into my work setup and use dual external monitors. I don't really need to do that much since it's most used on the couch or around the house, but those M3 prices sure do make it tempting.

Oddly enough, I saw almost the same prices at Costco yesterday while I was grocery shopping -- except that their $1099.99 price for the 15" M3 Macbook Air was labeled as a $150 discount. I guess Costco is comparing the discount to what they would normally charge for that model.
