I have an iPod Touch that won't update to the latest 2.0 (now 2.01) firmware. I've tried everything. I searched the web, contacted Apple, and went through different computers trying to get the update to work. Everytime I try to update, I get an unknown error (6) message. I tried everything: different computers (PC to Macs), different USB ports, restored, DFU mode, etc.

I don't have an AppleCare plan, but I do have a Best Buy Product Service Plan. If there is anyone who works at BB or who is familiar with PSP, do you know if not being able to upgrade to the latest firmware is covered by the plan?

I'm not too depressed about it since I'm planning on getting an iPhone 3G in the next two weeks, but I paid the 9.95 for the touch and can't get it to work. :(

Thanks!

You have an Apple product, therefore, you have Apple Care (for the first year). Take it to an Apple Store and they may have a solution for your problem. Otherwise, try to get Best Buy to replace it.

Really? That's interesting. I'll try that. Thanks again.
