We've had some £800 deals here in the UK vs Apple's price of £1,249. Phenomenal deal which I took. Makes any of the 'down sides' of the MacBook more than worthwhile to tolerate. Works out around £700 / $800 - even more of a steal.
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully some US users take advantage of it. At that price, it definitely fits into the range and can get a good Mac into the hands of more people than ever.

The base MacBook is still a fantastic little laptop. I have two that I use regularly, a 2016 for teaching and a 2017 for home. Both are amazing little computers! That $799 price is what I got both of them at from Best Buy as open boxes, and I'd say they're 100% worth it at that price.
