The Glif is a great mount, adjustable, secure, light, case-friendly. Tripod depends on whether you want a mini tripod (in which case I have a Manfrotto Pixi that I'm happy with), a full-height one (in which case there are about a million choices depending on your budget) or a flexible one you can wrap round stuff (can't go wrong with a Gorillapod).
